Reem Hospital has broadened its range of integrated rehabilitation services with the inauguration of the Reem Neuroscience Centre. This latest addition aims to deliver comprehensive mental health support, encompassing both outpatient clinics and an inpatient psychiatric department, ensuring holistic care for a diverse spectrum of needs.
The newly established Reem Neuroscience Centre boasts a team of highly skilled psychiatrists and clinical psychologists, empowering patients with a comprehensive suite of mental healthcare services. With the capacity to accommodate over 6,000 patients monthly and equipped with 25 dedicated treatment rooms, the center addresses a wide array of requirements, spanning psychiatry, psychotherapy, child psychiatry, and addiction treatment.
Moreover, the center features a specialized laboratory dedicated to diagnosing attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), further enhancing its diagnostic capabilities. In response to specific mental health conditions, the Center offers specialized beds tailored for disorders such as eating disorders, mood disorders, and psychosis, as well as advanced treatment options for Alzheimer's disease and child psychiatry.
The hospital's continuous attempts to expand its inpatient psychiatric services by adding 25 more beds coincide with the construction of the Reem Neuroscience Center. Plans for future growth are already in motion to accommodate the growing need for specialist mental health services, guaranteeing that patients will continue to have access to high-quality care.
Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health (DoH), lauded Reem Hospital's commitment to promoting the mental and physical well-being of the community. She emphasized the importance of collaboration with strategic partners to uphold healthcare standards and reinforce Abu Dhabi's standing as a global healthcare leader.
Zaid Al Siksek, Chairman of Reem Hospital and Reem Neuroscience Centre, echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the Center's role in complementing existing healthcare services and enhancing the community's quality of life in alignment with DoH's priorities.
